Hunstanton: Discover Norfolk's Colourful Coastal Town

Good Afternoon,

Discover the delights of Hunstanton, also known as "Sunny Hunny"! This Victorian seaside town, located on The Wash on the west coast of Norfolk, is home to the unique striped cliffs which distinctively show layers of white chalk, red chalk, and carrstone - a geological wonder which I believe you won't find anywhere else in the UK.

Stroll along the bustling promenade, where traditional seaside attractions meet modern amenities. While Hunstanton's main beach is divided by groynes and is slightly pebbly, nearby Old Hunstanton beach is where you’ll find the golden sands ideal for family trips, dog walkers and water sports enthusiasts such as kite surfing.

Don't miss out on attractions such as the Sea Life Sanctuary, perfect for marine life encounters, and the Princess Theatre. If you fancy a walk along the cliff tops, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the ruins of St. Edmund's Chapel, perched on the cliffs and great for a photo opp!

Hunstanton is also famous for it's amazing sunsets over The Wash, the only place in England that faces west but is on the east coast of England.

Next week I'll be showing you my favourite Priory ruin.

Best wishes,

Suzy

P.S. If you’re wondering where to stay in Hunstanton, then browse through Norfolk Holiday Homes photo album which will show you an array of cottages and holiday homes to choose from. They’ll be something to suit every requirement.
