Norfolk offers miles and miles of sandy beaches and wonderful coastal and woodland paths where both you and your dog can enjoy yourselves. Unfortunately, due to a few irresponsible owners who allow their dogs to disturb nesting birds in reeds, dunes and hedgerows, some restrictions have become necessary, particularly on beaches like Holkham where specific on-lead areas have now been introduced to protect vulnerable wildlife.

All I ask is that we all become responsible dog owners – keeping our dogs under control and clearing up after them, to make sure Norfolk keeps its reputation as one of the most dog-friendly places to visit.
